Saphie is an approximately 6 year old German Shepherd rescued from a wet market by an activist also working to stop the suffering in China. Unfortunately, the woman could not afford to keep Saphie (or Sarabi) and asked us to take full responsibility for the pair.
Just like Sarabi, we of course could not see these dogs end up any where other than the UK - so we immediately took the girls under our wing and got them to our vet in Beijing.
Saphie is a lovely girl, but she is far more nervous than Sarabi. It is important to reenforce to our adopters that the majority of our dogs have been horrifically treated and abused by people, so Saphie will need a quiet home with strictly adult company.

Xena
Available
Xena is a stunning 4 year old Kunming Wolf Dog which is a fairly new hybrid breed established in Kunming, China.
The Kunming Shepherd is an incredibly powerful breed, so we will be looking for a very special adopter who can work with Xena to ensure she leads a happy and fulfilling life in the UK. Dog handlers, or already established Kunming owners would be the perfect applicants for Xena - as she has already shown very 'Wolf' like traits in the few months we've had her.
Xena was rescued from a dealership last May, and will not be able to be re-homed with children or other animals apart from dogs of a similar size. Xena has also shown to be very protective over the shelter owner, and would frequently fall asleep standing beside his bed when he would rest.
