Meet our single breeds

Beautiful Ava is a 6 year old Sharpei who was rescued from the back of a meat restaurant along with 'Ayda' last February. This poor girl is believed to have been sold by a breeder who decided to sell Ava in a last bid to exploit her for money.

Ava was in awful condition when she was first rescued, and was almost blind due to cataracts forming over her eyes. Ava was suffering from an awful case of Entropion, which caused her eyelids to turn inwards. The amount of pain this poor girl would have been in has lasted years. It just infuriates me how someone could sleep at night knowing their dog is suffering so much.

Despite the horrific abuse she's gone through, Ava is a sweet natured girl who is looking for a calm and gentle family who can help her trust humans again. She loves the other dogs at the shelter, and would really benefit from having some canine friends in her new home!

I think everyone who has been following our rescue for a while will remember Dottie's case. She broke everyones hearts as she got up with her tail wagging after being horrifically dragged by a man using a metal catching pole. 

​

Dottie is thought to be a 5 year old Dalmatian and has the heart of gold. She is so incredibly trusting despite the horrific abuse she's suffered! 

​

Dottie is looking for a home with no resident children, and would ideally be suited in an active home with another resident dog. Most of our dogs are kept in shelters with plenty of other dogs, so we feel it is important to keep a familiar surrounding around them - whether it be just one canine companion.

Alfie is a beautiful American Eskimo Dog who was rescued last April from an awful dealership in Eastern Beijing. 

​

Thankfully upon his rescue Alfie had no underlying health issues which is extremely rare when working with this particular dealer. 

​

Alfie is looking for a quiet home with no resident children as he really is a nervous little dog. He has no aggression issues and is a little sweetheart; but we feel he would decompress better in a calm environment with a confident dog to bring him out of his shell!
